Sneak peek... some of our planner pages

I'm so excited to share these sneak peeks with you! let's just say the Holy Spirit and I have been incredibly busy designing this planner.  I've used planners for a majority of my adult life... more so when the kids came around, you parents know what I'm talking about!

My problem was finding a planner that incorporated all the many aspects of homesteading, whats going on in my garden, the food we have canned, trying to keep a clean home and on top of it all and making sure I put God FIRST. This is how the Rooted in Faith Homesteaders Planner was created.

"Did I mention the colour theme is inspired by our ladies beautiful eggs?"

Do you struggle with meal planning?

I think for me the most difficult challenge is actually coming up with the meals. So I have designed a weekly meal planner WITH CHEAT SHEETS!!! I've included a pantry list as well to make sure we are using up our preserved items in our pantry.

The wonderful ladies over at TrailblazerHer Co. also suggested an area for One New Recipe to do every week, so that's included in there too. Look for the little cupcake image.

    Meal Planning Cheat Sheets

To make our lives even easier I've designed up three different meal planning cheat sheets to use. One for Spring/Summer another for Fall/Winter and one titled Field Day as this too was suggested by a fellow homesteader.

The idea here is to gather the family around and brainstorm your favourite meals, placing them in subcategories.

When its time to sit down and fill in your weekly meal plan, you can just pull meal ideas from the cheat sheets

    Days of the week

The days of the week work so well for our family.   My girls muck stalls to pay off part of their board every Wednesday, mucking stalls. Wednesdays we need something fast! It's a mad dash after coming home from school, stuffing our faces, tending to our animals then hauling off to the barn.  So I tend to write easy quick meals in there like grilled cheese & coleslaw.

The Field Day cheat sheet is a little different and is geared towards making your life even more efficient. wether you're tending to loved ones in the field or using this list as a out and about sheet to pull from for beach days, berry picking or road trips. Be sure to fill it up with your loved ones favourites. Eliminating... "what should we pack?"

Take the hassle out of meal planning with our cheat sheets. Simply fill in with your families favourite Spring and Summer meals, then use this cheat sheet to fill in your weekly meal plan.
